Juicer

Yesterday was another great day. Vassona Park is so beautiful and the dogs enjoy it so much. Today we picked up Tue Tue and went for a long walk.

Today was my weekly trip to Costco. Since I got my juicer I have been drinking a lot of juice and I love it. I feel really good, I haven't had a pressure sore for a long time and he gives me a lot of energy. Since I started taking Zoloft I have been really tired at night but seemed to have a lot of energy during the day which is perfect for me because I've always had a problem sleeping at night. My mom and I were supposed to go out to dinner but she said she could not leave Bill because he was slurring his words. He goes to dialysis three times a week, has diabetes and is almost totally blind. It sounds like they're going to be sending Chris home tomorrow or Friday.

I think tomorrow I will take Brodie over to Vassona Park again and go for a walk. It is such a great place to be and there is a trail throughout the park. It's good for her because she has to walk by other animals and behave, I'm hoping that she will get used to it so I can take her more places without fearing she will attack another animal.

Happy Hound, Vassona Park

Today was a really good day. I took Brodie to get fitted for a new pinch caller, the one that I got is too small and has a quick release so every time she laid down or leaned up against something I would come off. We stopped by a place in Los Gatos that I used to have lunch at when I was in high school called Happy Hound, it was and is always really crowded. Then I took Brodie over to Vassona Park and we ran around on the trails for a while. It was about sixty four, perfect weather. I plan on doing that a lot more, weather permitting, because it really felt great to just run around and Brodie had a really good time. It's also good for her to get used to running by dogs, ducks and squirrels.

Getting closer to Santa Cruz

A friend of mine gave me the number of a lady that designs leashes, harnesses and packs for dogs. I went over and met with her and she was really a neat lady. The leashes that she had are going to work perfect. I also got a harness to put on Brodie whenever we go out and it works really well, she seems to know that whenever the harness is on its work time. She also helped me out a lot with some discipline problems I'm having with Brodie. She told me that one thing she noticed is that I tell Brodie what to do and really don't expect her to do it so I don't praise her if she does it right or correct her if she does it wrong... she is so right so I'm going to start working on that.

Tomorrow my mom and I were going to go see a movie, Charlotte's Web, and go get something to eat after but she got a phone call from a friend asking for help. My mom's friend is in an elderly care facility and her husband is in a care facility. Three times a week her husband goes to dialysis and then takes Outreach to visit his wife but as it turns out he only gets to spend about twenty minutes with his wife because of Outreaches busy schedule... Outreach can be late in picking you up but you have to be right outside waiting for them when they come to pick you up, it doesn't really seem fair but is a great service and helps a lot of people.

Stanley, Janet, Robert, David and Corinne bought a new house, new to them. Their family is growing so fast and this house has a lot more room. They are so excited and I'm so excited for them.

My contractor submitted the plans for my new place so we are waiting to hear back from them, apparently it takes about three weeks. They're not going to be able to start building it until around April and it will take about a year or so but I'm already trying to sell this place. I put it on Craig's list and made a couple of flyers for Stanford and Valley Medical Center. Jerry is going to come and take some pictures so this week I'm going to try to get everything straightened up so it looks nice.

New Years

Yesterday was a really good day. My mom and I went down to breakfast and then later on my Uncle Dick, Aunt Kathy, Jim and Brenda, Rex and Sandy, Ellen and my mom and I played cards. Our table only played two games but I lost three dollars, I got skunked one hand.

Today Ann came by to visit for a while and also Marie and her daughter. I slept most of the day because yesterday was a long day and I didn't get to bed until about 1 a.m.

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions because they never seem to stay anyway.
