Just another day

I ended up renting a van because I wasn't able to use mine. The place that I take it to be fixed said that they had to order a part and I told them I didn't want to be without a vehicle over the weekend so they said we could pick it up what they didn't tell me was that I wouldn't be able to use it. We had to call and have Chino come over after work because we let the ramp down and couldn't get it back up. The part was supposed to be here by last Friday when I never got a call so I guess I'm going to have to rent this one for a little bit longer. The van that I rented is only six months old. I like the ramp a lot better than mine because instead of folding up its slides underneath the vehicle. Also you can unlock the door and let the ramp out before you get to the vehicle.

Friday we went to Happy Hound, a little place in Los Gatos where we used to go have lunch when we were in high school and took Brodie and Tue Tue to Oak Meadow Park to get some exercise. Brodie is starting to get really aggressive around other animals and I need to break that really quickly. There are a lot of dogs at Oak Meadow Park so I figured that would be a good place to get her used to being around dogs without becoming aggressive. I bought her a 10 foot retractable leash so she could run around and play on the grass the little. She did really good until she saw a squirrel. She took off after the squirrel and broke the Halti off of her nose and chase the squirrel up a tree... I decided it was time to go home and try again another day.

I finally found a guy to come to my house and you all the maintenance that has been building up for about two years. I mentioned that I needed somebody to Lisa and she said that her husband did maintenance and might be able to help me out. He came out on Saturday and started of some of the staff and he does a very good job, he seems to be very knowledgeable about just about everything.

Today, Sunday, my mom and I went to see Because of Winn-Dixie and it was a very cute movie.

I'm laying here with my door open listening to the rain outside, I love the way it sounds.

My old boss

Yesterday we took Brodie to the vet because last time we were there the doctor seemed to think that she might have something wrong with her back and neck, he said that everything looks like it's OK but he sent her x-rays to a specialist.

My Uncle and Aunt came by today with a friend that I haven't seen for a long time, Steve. When I worked at Xicor my boss's name was Elaine, Steve was her husband for a while but they ended up getting divorced. After about 15 years they met and now it looks like they're going to be getting back together, I think that is very cool.

More visitors

I found a couple that will come out to my house once a week and give Brodie a bath, clip her nails, clean her ears and brush her teeth, pretty cool.

On the 11th my friends Char and Lisa came to visit. It never seems to be long enough but we always have a good time. Of course we had to go to Pedro's in Los Gatos for nachos. We really didn't do too much else except to chat and catch up.  Char is coming out this summer with her son Brian.

On Saturday my brother, his wife and kids came and cooked dinner. There was a wedding shower for a family friend and we had a really nice dinner after that.

There was a dog show all this weekend across the street at the fairgrounds that I missed because my van broke down again. I took it in on Thursday to get fixed and they told me they needed to order a part and it would not be here until the end of next week. I told them I did not want to be all weekend without my vehicle but when we went to pick it up we found out after we got it home that we could not use it. When Lulu put down the ramp to clean it out she could not get it back up so we had to call and have the guy from the repair place come out to close the van. I get to wait after all.

Catching up

It has been a very long time since I have written
anything in here and a lot has happened so I will
try to catch up.

On October 28th Aubry came here for Halloween. She
helped decorate and she passed out candy. She dressed
up as a pirate and Brodie and I dressed up as a
scarecrow.

On November 14th we went to the abilities expo Santa
Clara I wanted to go on Friday because I figured there
would be more stuff and fewer people.  We ended up going
on Sunday and everyone was basically packed up and gone.

November 19th I started training new injuries at the hospital
to use the dragon VoiceType program. I was really nervous about
it but once I got there I really enjoyed it.

My brother and his family came down for Thanksfgiving
and we had a huge dinner.

On Dec 4th Rosie took my Mom and I to Vassona Park to see
the Christmas display, it was gorgous.

On Dec. 16th we went to go see Keith Urban and
HE TUOCHED ME...
we didn't have very good seats but for some reason
the seats were we were supposed to be was closed off
and we ended up really close.  It was an awsome concert.

My brother and his family came here for Christmas.
The kids get so excited and I love to watch them
open their gifts.

January was really busy and so much fun.  My brother Dave came down
for about four days, my cousin Kelly and her twin brother Kevin and
my Aunt Bobby were here also.  My Gramps brother is here for two months
and my Mom is staying here with me.

Rascal Flats

On October 10th we went to see Rascal Flats at the HP Pavilion.  It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen.  Chris Cagle and Julie Roberts were also there, Chris Cagle practically stold the show but Rascal Flats was awesome.  I have to remember that when I go places I need to bring a blanket for Brodie because she was kind of uncomfortable, a friend of mine put his jacket on the ground for her to lay on and she tried to get comfortable.

Today I'm going to see Latter 49 with my mom and tomorrow we are going to see Shall We Dance with my mom, Aunt Kathy and Ellen.

Long lost relatives

I'm sitting here listening to it rain outside, is raining really hard.  One of my favorite things is to lie in bed and listen to the rain, it is so relaxing.

We had a little family get-together here yesterday and it was really nice.  Relatives that live about 10 minutes away yet we have not seen them for about 20 years, it's a shame.

I'm not sure of the relationship, whether they are cousins, first cousins... but they sure were a really nice group.  Everybody brought food and there was a ton of it, that's one thing about my family they always make sure there is enough food.  There were about 11 people here, let me see if I can remember the names... I remember Marcy and her daughter Kimmy, Audrey and her daughter Cindy, Cindy has two girls.  My a Kathy this and her two grandchildren Alexia and Seth, Richard's children, and of course gramps.  These were my grandmother on my mother sides relatives.  We promised to see each other more often.

Olivia Newton John

Last weekend we went to see Olivia Newton-John.  A friend came down on Friday and cooked a really nice dinner.  Saturday we had a barbecue and then we went to the concert.  We got almost all the way there and I rememberd that I had forgotten the tickets at home, luckily we didn't have to come all the way back.  Brodie would not sit still.  Every time I would make her lay down she would stand up again and I was getting a little angry.  I had a blanket on the back of my chair so I took it off, unfolded it, laid it down and she laid on it and didn't move for the rest of the concert.  Poor baby was just uncomfortable.  Sunday we were both tired so we stayed in bed and watch TV, it was a great weekend.
